More info

This reproduction of a liner WW1 german helmet is quality 'perfect replica', made the same a real liner, marked, both in its conception in the choice materials used.

What is the difference between a liner with leather or steel strapping?
The first German steel helmets arrived in 1916. During the first year, the outband of the liners were made of leather. From 1917 for reasons of strength, budget and availability of materials, it was decided to replace the leather band with a steel. These two variants of liners can be found without problem on an M16 helmet.

can also be placed in some WW1 Austrian or Hungarian helmets.

Choose the right size (just below the option price) and do not forget the rivets that are not the same as the liner WW2.

Here we have a reproduction of leather liner german helmet model 1916. We distinguish M16 that M18 helmets with to bindings chinstrap : on the shell for M16 and on the outband liner for M18, see two photos.

How to choose the right size liner?

Simply measure the tower shell, inside with a tape measure or a string, taking care to follow a line that passes through the three holes of the liner. You will have the size of the hull. In practice, measuring 0.5 cm more often. 64.5 cm measured for shell 64.
